RKO BLUES BAND

RKO Blues Band is a seven piece American blues and blues rock band based in Wichita, Kansas. Formed in 2000, we have been entertaining our audiences at Wichita's, and the surrounding areas' finest venues. The band was formed by guiarist/lead singer Kent Overaker and drummer Victor Kinchion, who met while working together in the paint shop at Raytheon Aircraft in Wichita in 1999, and decided to form a blues band. RKO Blues Band represented the Wichita Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge, hosted by The Blues Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee, in both 2006 and 2007. The band has been through several personnel changes through the years and now features Lisa Beaudoin on vocals along with three other lead/background singers. The band also includes Kevin Moore on saxophone and a second guitar player, Monty Harrison. Our solid rhythm section, bass/drums/keyboards, rounds out the band.  The band's debut CD, Mr. Bluesman, was released in 2019, with the title track being written by Lisa Beaudoin. The band is long overdue for another album, and a new CD should be released in the Spring of 2026. RKO is preparing a 25 year band reunion with an all members, past and present,  baquet, and a new Album  to be cut in the Spring of 2026.
